Yang Yit Kian
Optometrist/Owner
Shop owner and Principal Optometrist Yit Kian (YK) Yang graduated as an Ophthalmic Optician (Optometrist) from the University of Manchester at United Kingdom (UK) in 1985. We worked with Dolland and Aitchson in the UK for his pre-registration year and returned to Malaysia in 1986 to continue his family’s longstanding Optometry business. He has since organized many eye screening projects in the rural areas of Sarawak and took an interest in Diabetic Retinopathy. Since then, YK’s main interest is in the early detection of retinopathy, treatment of children with strabismus (squint), amblyopia (lazy eye) and difficuly cases that involve complicated contact lense fitting.
YK is involved in caring for the blind community serving as the Chairman of the Miri Blind Association covering northern Sarawak. He was elected to serve in the Malaysian Optical Council for 2 terms from 2002-2008. He founded the Sarawak Optical Trader’s Association in 1992 and served as President for 7 years. At present, he remains as an active member of the local Lions Club and served as President in 1999-2000, and an active member of the Association of Malaysian Optometrists.
YK was recognized by his peers for his outstanding contribution to Malaysian Optometry by being awarded the National Optometrist of the Year in 2004, the first to receive such an award. He is married with 3 children.
Yang Fu Yuan

Fu Yuan Yang is a dedicated optometrist from Miri, Malaysia, with a strong passion for eye health and patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from Cardiff University, Wales, in 2014, and has since been committed to providing excellent care to her community.
Fu Yuan Yang emphasizes the importance of ocular health and is continually advancing her knowledge by staying up to date with the latest technological developments in the field. Her approach combines clinical precision with genuine compassion, ensuring that each patient receives personalized and thorough care.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
Huong Nai Zheng
Optometrist
Huong Nai Zheng (Danny) is a graduate of UCSI University, Malaysia in 2019 with Bachelor of Optometry (Hons). He involved himself in multiple charity eye screening campaigns that provided proper eye care to school students and refugees.
In these eye screening campaigns, he provides professional eye examination and prescribes glasses to patients. Besides that, he also work as an optometrist assistant in Vista Eye Specialist, PJ Branch. Hence, he is very familiar with the diagnosis of common eye diseases and also eye surgery procedures such as cataracts and LASIK surgery.
After such experience, he started working in retail optical shops. He has more than 5 years of experience in the Optical Retail industry. Optical Retail is where he uses his primary eye care skills to resolve diverse customer visual problems and provide immediate help and advice. He is very familiar with different types and brands of optical lenses and frames and will prescribe the most suitable product for customers. He also has a focus on prescribing contact lenses and myopia control for kids.
